Okaaayyyy... Yourrrr welcome!
Yes they reopened several weeks ago
Are you opened on Sunday afternoon?
The prices are reasonable and the food never disappoints. The pictures are of a taco burger, Barbosa's burrito with pork chili, and a beef taco.
Love there foods the best enchiladas
Barbosa's is a local favorite with great food and service! I love their homemade chips and cheese dip! My other favorites are enchiladas, tacos and red pork chili. Yum!! Quick for carry out too
Have loved Barbosa's as long as I can remember. I miss the Castillo however.
I've literally grown up in this restaurant. I love coming her and can't get enough of the food. Always have the best service and enjoy the atmosphere!
It's an interesting experience. Love the enchiladas which are in no way traditional but we stop everytime we're in stjoe to bring them back to KC. Great re pan fried with the tomato sauce. It's a dish that grows on you. Strange whipped avocado guacamole dip. Again nothing traditional about it. Not a fan. If you like guacamole this is not your guacamole. Staff is super friendly and restaurant is clean. Will be back for "enchiladas" every time.
Excellent service and good food
Good food at good prices.
In St Joseph today to check out cool museums and grabbed lunch here which was a mistake! The chips were flour tortillas thick almost like deflated sopapillas! Ordered the enchilada platter and meat cubes were oddly placed all on top of the bland enchilada. Friend ordered Taco platter and Tacos had no shredded cheese had to ask for it specifically!
Barnosa's East had nice ombionce, but lacked authentic Mexican flavors and spices.
Excellent mexican food. We make the 5hr trip here at least twice a year because the food is so delicious!
Excellent food and service.
The chips were a big hit...fried flour tortillas so they were lighter than the standard ones. I had the pork burrito, very white boy Mexican and not a lot of pork but with the "hot" salsa it was more than adequate.
Best food in town, and top notch service!
They have an amazing meatless dinner. Love their homemade chips.
A basic Mexican restaurant with the usual food but a rather limited menu. Service is good and prices are reasonable.
We go there every year to celebrate my mother's birthday. She has been gone 10 years. It was her most favorite place to eat , so for the last 9 year's we have gone in her memory. They make it wonderful for us.
Good food and friendly staff. Sad that the castle closed down it was my favorite... still same great tasting food though.
Good tortillas but not so good beef. Tastes more like chili than Mexican.
Been going here for years. It's a St. Joseph staple. I love that they use flour tortillas for virtually everything. Their red pork chili is awesome.
Great place to eat and visit good people work there.
The mini tacos are AMAZING!!!! The avocado dip is soooo good too! I love the staff they're all super sweet 😊😊
Awesome Mexican food and the people are super nice.
One of my favorite places to go!! Their fideo, cheese enchiladas and tacos are the best in town! Love their chips and salsa and spicy bean dip. Their hot sauce is amazing as well if you like spicy. Highly recommend!
Always clean and good environment. Employees are so friendly. Food is always fresh and delicious.
Really good Mexican food. Portion size is surprisingly modest, but that’s good. Had the “meatless dinner” entry and strawberry sundae. Very good overall. Most dinners can ordered separately if you just want to mix and match. I do wish, especially for a Catholic aligned restaurant, they had fish options for lent. Bathroom is small for the 168 seated establishment. It is generally very popular and parking is going to be a challenge, especially as the parking lot is shared by nearby businesses. (There’s plenty of parking in the back – but this restaurant is often packed!) I know locals who don’t think of this place first when they think of authentic Mexican cuisine. Maybe they should.
This has been my favorite restaurant for nearly my whole life.
The food was delicious and time spent with family making memories
Love this place, prices are a bit high but it's a sit down restaurant what do you expect
As always our burritos were fantastic!! It's quick, great portions and super prices. Never had a bad meal from here yet!!
Great place for Mexican food. Liked the one downtown better. Wish it was open later
Love barbosas its not your cookie cutter Mexican restruant
I did not care for this. A lot of people in my family swear by it but I am not a fan. Food doesn’t taste fresh.
We love the homemade chips and salsa! If you're looking for a more authentic meal, then this is the place, expect to take home leftovers because it is so filling!
Family owned...
Was kind of small and the seating was tight but the food was good and the service was fine.
Great traditional Mexican food.
Excellent nachos and tacos. Friendly and quick service.
There was half cup of water in my nachos. And wilted lettuce. The Spanish rice was spongy with no flavor.sent it back and didnt even eat my nachos. Paid bill and left dont think I'll try it again. Guy when we got there we both had to wait 5min for some one to come to front counter tables weren't even clean. I could understand if lunch rush but 3pm. And only 6 ppl. Hope others have better exsperiance. I do my best to enjoy places and give acurate reviews.
Great food. Family friendly. Great staff. Always enjoy stopping by after Chiefs training camp.
I always eat at Barbosa's whenever I come back to St. Joseph. The food there is always great & the service was fine. I especially like the tacos & the chips with the special dips. I highly recommend it!
If you have a table full of people, four or more, get the homemade nachos. These are the best. I have been here several times and always enjoyed the food. Pretty close to TexMex considering this place is several states away from the border. Good tacos and fajita salads and burritos too.
Food was the ultimate. Service great! See you again soon
Love there food little pricey
Always good food with friendly wait staff
Tried to call in a carryout order and sat on hold for nearly 10 minnutes then when they answered and I said I wanted to place a carryout order they hung up on me.. great place if you enjoy lacking service and bland food... oh and it the only Mexican restaurant I ever seen that changes for chips and bad salsa.
Good food, reasonable prices, quick service.
Had to wait 45 minutes to get our food. I did not realize you have to buy chips and salsa! Food was gross. Service was terrible!!! Will not be back.
Love love love their guacamole!! Can’t go wrong with a cheese enchilada either. Great service and affordable cost.
Really good mexican food. Barbosa was recommended to us by the locals. We're so glad they did. Enchiladas smothered in red pork chile**** Barbosa's Burrito*** Small order of Nachos **** I want to go to the Barbosa's Castillo reopens. Im coming back!
